Art has always been a topic in the factory building of the Herzbergstraße 55. Where previously the focus was on the production of an artificial product – margarine as an artificial butter – today artists and creatives are dealing with art’s controversial role in gentrification processes.

For Project Space Festival 2018, LAGE EGAL cooperates with the artist Kristiane Kegelmann and explores the relationship between the artwork and the recipient. The audience is invited to become part of her work and, through participation, take part in the artistic process of her works. Through the use of ephemeral, edible components, the artist initiates a performance that opens a space of communication.
