love! The hidden voice explores the modern social norms of screaming as a point of intersection between gender, race, and age. The project considers the scream as a deviant form of behaviour, expressive of identity and individual voice, yet socially taboo. Through a combination of voices, sounds, and set design, the performers will question whether this primitive mode of communication can be revalued by the modern viewer as something more affirmative.
